Days 1 & 2: Clinical
•Evaluation of phlebotomy , injection and blood pressure skills and measurements
•Review of CLIA waived testing guidelines and walk-through of quality control processing and
) patient testing, i.e. finger stick glucose, urine Multistix, hemoglobin/hematocrit and pregnancy
testing,
•Vital Signs(adult & pediatric), positioning, communication & sign language,TB administration and
reading.
> •Review of HIPAA, Joint Commission and National Patient Safety Goals, Medication
Management , Fire/Safety, Infection Control, and EKG via lecture and quiz.
•Day 3, Professional Learning Day:
