2. Ollie
• The Ollie the most basic skateboarding trick.
• It is the base to all tricks which are done in the
air
• It was invented by Alan quot;Olliequot; Gelfand in
1978.
3. Shove-it
• A Shove-it is a skateboarding trick where the
skateboarder makes their board spin 180
degrees or more under their feet.
• There are many variations of the Shove-it but
they all follow the same principle:
• The skateboarder's lead foot stays in one
spot, and their back foot does the 'shove'.
4. Kickflip
• The Kickflip (old skool name Magic Flip) is a
Skateboarding Trick where the Skateboarder
swipes his foot at an angle along the
Skateboard in order to make it flip 360
degrees along the board's long axis.
• The modern Kickflip was invented by Rodney
Mullen in 1983.
5. 50/50
• The 50-50 grind is where both trucks are on
either side of a railing.
• This move evolved from the horizontal-stance
grind in pools and was taken up on top of the
lip by such skaters as Tony Alva and Stacy
Peralta.
6. Boardslide
• The boardslide is the most basic slide
• It is performed when the board rotates 90
degrees and the skateboarder slides on the
centre of the board.
7. Halfpipe
• A half-pipe is a structure used in gravity
extreme sports such as
snowboarding, skateboarding, skiing, freestyle
BMX and inline skating.
• The structure is usually wood, when used in
skateboarding but can also be concrete.
• It consists of two concave ramps (or
quarterpipes), topped by copings and
decks, facing each other across a transition.
