 Cardiac Services Group was founded in

6. Training & Education
 The Training and Education Team provide
consultancy, training and change
management for healthcare teams
incorporating our technical solutions to
enhance their delivery of patient care. Our
team’s primary role is Training and
Education, focusing on delivering a service
that meets the needs of our customers at
the same time as positively impacting on
patient outcomes. We work closely with
our manufacturing partners and colleagues
within the HSE, NHS and private sector to
ensure that our portfolio of training
services meets the changing needs of the
healthcare sector.
 The team is managed by Dermot Hughes and
consists of four Clinical Application Specialists
(CAS), the team is supported by Neita O’Connor
from our Service Support Team. All of our CAS
have extensive experience in either clinical
nursing or biomedical engineering and have
received in-depth training from the
manufacturers of all of the products that we
supply. In addition to our permanent staff, we
have a bank of contracted staff who assist, when
required, with installation and education
projects. These staff members hold clinical posts
and allow us to supplement our team with
experienced staff at the cutting edge of service
delivery. With various backgrounds, from
academic to clinical or technical, the range of
experience and current practice knowledge that
these staff members contribute is considerable.

 TEKNO Surgical was established in
1996. It is involved in the distribution
of specialist medical products,
targeting key niche areas:
Orthopaedics – Surgical - Aesthetics.
 The Company has exclusive
distribution agreements with world

surgical and aesthetic products.
TEKNO Surgical became part of the

M.E.D. Surgical was formed in January
1993 with its charter to specialise in the
distribution of OR products. Since then,
the company has grown significantly with
estimated sales of €15 million for 2009
and keeping OR products as its major
