Sin refers to humanity's intrinsic failure to let God be God and to prioritize one's own interests over God. This led to Adam and Eve disobeying God and eating the forbidden fruit. As a result of original sin, humans are born with a sinful nature that inclines them to wrong acts and thoughts. However, God demonstrates his love for humanity by sending Jesus to die for sins, so that all may be saved through faith in Christ and no longer defined by their sin.
