VastLane Mobile HD Link is a new interface called Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) that allows mobile devices like phones and media players to connect to HDTVs using a small, low pin-count connector compatible with HDMI. MHL addresses the lack of pins on mobile devices for full HDMI by using a bridge chip that converts the MHL interface to a standard HDMI connection. This allows mobile devices to display high-quality video and audio on HDTVs with a single cable, driving adoption of personal media on the big screen.
