13. EMMANUEL HOUSE PROJECT
The Salvation Army plans to address the ongoing need for emergency shelter and bridge housing by renovating and expanding
the Emmanuel House. We will renovate the entire facility, and we will construct a new wing devoted exclusively to women,
featuring a separate, secure entrance. For the first time, we will be able to include women in all of the life-changing programs we
already provide to men. The renovation and expansion of Emmanuel House will increase the building’s gross square footage to
10,593 sq ft. There will be 78 beds (56 bridge, 22 emergency), divided evenly between men and women.
