3. Introduction
WEBSITE: a computer connected to the internet that maintains a series of
web pages on the World Wide Web
HTML: stands for HyperText Markup Language, is the predominant
markup language for web pages.It allows images and objects to be
embedded and can be used to create interactive forms. It is written in
the form of HTML elements consisting of "tags" surrounded by angle
brackets within the web page content.
CSS: CSS defines how HTML elements are to be displayed.Styles are
normally saved in external .css files. External style sheets enable you to
change the appearance and layout of all the pages in a Web site, just by
editing one single file.
JAVA SCRIPT: JavaScript is the scripting language of the Web. JavaScript
is used in millions of Web pages to add functionality, validate forms,
detect browsers, and much more.

4. Introduction
 The purpose for Designing/Developing a
website on Sikkim Tourism is basically to
promote tourism in the small but beautiful
state of India, Sikkim. This website
comprises of several WebPages which will
let the surfer to visit the beautiful places in
Sikkim sitting in front of his/her Desktop,
Laptop, Mobile phones etc.

 To create a beautiful and informative
website on Sikkim Tourism.
 To allow the surfer of this site to
explore Sikkim on the click of mouse
 To encourage the surfer of this site to
visit Sikkim at least once after going
through this site.

 This website contains of easy navigation links so that the
users can find it easy to view any pages from anywhere.
 Contains information and current events in Sikkim
 Contains links to websites of other tourism organization so
that the user can get the detailed information about the
tourism if they want.
 Photo gallery contains some interesting images related to
Sikkim tourism.
 Video gallery contains some informative clips related to
Sikkim tourism.

8. GOALS ACHIEVED
 We learned to implement some simple Java
Script in our web pages.
 We also got some basic ideas about other
software like Adobe Photoshop ,
Macromedia Dreamweaver etc.
 We learnt many new tags in html and CSS .
 After the completion of project we were able
to design a simple and user friendly website.

15. PROBLEMS FACED
 The main problem we faced during the project was about the
resolution.
 Every time we had to modify something then we had to modify in
each and every pages which was time consuming.
 To make the navigation easy for this website was very tough. So
we used “So think DHTML” menu builder for making the things
easier.
 Color combination was another tough work for us.
 Creating a banner that really matches the topic was also tough
 We also faced some problem while implementing Java Script on
the WebPages.
 To make the photo and Video galleries was really a tough task
for us
