This drill teaches players to control the ball and spin away from defenders like Andres Iniesta. The drill is set up with groups of players in each corner of a 20x20 yard square, with a cone in the center. One player passes to another who meets the ball before the cone, spins around it to face the opposite corner, and passes back - all in a fluid motion. Doing this drill improves one's ability to receive and turn with the ball even under pressure from a defender.

The main goal of this study was to verify the evolution of VO2peak and in the distance covered in the YYIRT1 in university students, being appealed 2 types of training were applied: i) interval running training 4 x 3' with 3' of recovery between series during 4 weeks; ii) small-sided games 4 x 3' with 3' of recovery. Data was collected from 7 university students (n = 7), that executed the YYIRT1 before the application of the interval training protocol during 4 weeks. They executed the YYIRT1 again and initiated a new period of 4 weeks with resort to small-sided games of 4 x 4 with the dynamics of the load for the interval training. Finally they repeated the YYIRT1 to verify the evolution of the variables. We did not find any statistically significant differences in VO2peak (P < 0.05) and in the distance covered. We observed significant statistical differences between T13 and T23 (P < 0.05). The results show that the interval training and the small-sided games allowed an improvement in the covered distance in the YYIRT1 at the end of 8 weeks and that there was a greater efficacy in the systems involved in the fixation, transportation and utilization of the O2 (VO2peak maintenance and improvement of the covered distance). KEY-WORDS: distance covered, small-sided games, interval training, VO2max VO2peak, YYIRT1.
Training session: zonal defending, postional attack and counterataackVítor Gouveia
Training session more focused on behaviours during offensive transitions and also on different attacking methods and the respective position of the defensive block.
