As part of the April 12, 2017 Show&Tell: Smart Cities/IoT event, we asked 3 people to each give a 5 minute talk on how the featured technology will impact our lives 3-5 years from now. One of them was Nathaniel Horadam, a graduate student at Georgia Tech in the city planning program with a focus on transportation planning and connected autonomous vehicles. Prior to grad school, Nathaniel worked with a management consultant for Accenture helping governments solve problems with technology.

She serves as director of GT’s Interactive Media Technology Center, director of GT’s Wearable Computing Center, and associate director of Media for GT’s Institute for People and Technology. Her talk is entitled "VR is Not Here Yet" and blends hope with reality.
The Garage Turns One! Party + Give The Garage
This document announces the winner of a trivia night competition and fifth group gift card. It thanks the many vendor partners who contributed to the two celebrations of the night. It provides voting totals for the three finalists of the competition, with the top finalist receiving 49.22% of the 449 total votes. Hump Day Exchange: Rohit Malhorta
Hump Day Exchange is one part social gathering of the Tech Square community and one part podcast recording, happening the second Wednesday of every month. It is presented by Sandbox ATL, ATDC and GT's Scheller College of Business.
In this episode, the topic was "Life in the Smart City" and featured three presenters, including Rohit Malhorta, founder and executive director of the Center for Civic Innovation. In this presentation, he spoke on the importance of social entrepreneurs in smart cities and the need to engage previously forgotten and neglected communities.

The inaugural Tech Square Job Fair was held on March 31, 2016 in The Garage at Tech Square and brought together 22 companies with 312 job seeks representing more than 6 universities. Presented by Sage, Sandbox ATL, and Square on Fifth (SQ5). This presentation serves as a summary of the event and includes survey feedback from job seekers and companies. Scott Henderson is the CEO and co-founder of Sandbox Crew. He discusses how Atlanta is emerging as a global tech hub due to connections between talent, large corporations, and culture. Specifically, he notes how important shared experiences through physical spaces, events, and media are for building trusted relationships that innovative communities are built upon. He provides examples of spaces, meetups, and organizations in Atlanta that foster shared experiences and connections to help realize Atlanta's future potential as a hub of "Connected Awesomeness."

The introduction of DLAU and the CCB & CCX licensing model caused quite a stir in the HCL community. As a Notes and Domino customer, you may have faced challenges with unexpected user counts and license costs.
