As more companies shift to networked collaborations, how do you bust thru the silos? Susan Fonseca shared insights she's gained from working with luminaries like Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis in building coalitions of large companies, startups, and nonprofits to tackle audacious projects. Putting this insight to work, we broke into teams to create solutions to the Big Challenge that Susan had prepared for us.

Carrie Moore from Delta Airlines shared knowledge she's gained from her roles as a lead experience designer for Delta, the head of the Atlanta office for MJV Innovation, and her graduate work in design management at SCAD. Putting these insights to work, we broke into teams to create solutions to the Big Challenge that Carrie prepared for those gathered.

As part of the Feb 28, 2017 Show&Tell: VR/AR event, we asked 3 people to each give a 5 minute talk on how the featured technology will impact our lives 3-5 years from now. One of them was Ian Nott, co-founder and CTO of Aetho. This ATDC startup has unleashed Thrive, a telepresence immersive application that allows participants to converse naturally, as if in person face-to-face. Ian is a dropout of Savannah College of Art and Design and seeks to answer the question: Will humanity take control of these powerful forces and use them for good, or will we be left in something akin to 1984?

Her talk is entitled "VR is Not Here Yet" and blends hope with reality.

Hump Day Exchange is one part social gathering of the Tech Square community and one part podcast recording, happening the second Wednesday of every month. It is presented by Sandbox ATL, ATDC and GT's Scheller College of Business. In this episode, the topic was "Life in the Smart City" and featured three presenters, including Rohit Malhorta, founder and executive director of the Center for Civic Innovation. In this presentation, he spoke on the importance of social entrepreneurs in smart cities and the need to engage previously forgotten and neglected communities.

As part of the General Assembly - Atlanta launch week, Scott Henderson from the Sandbox Crew presented this introduction to the Atlanta tech startup scene. His main point is that your destiny is tied to the density of shared experiences you collect through physical spaces, events, and media. In these slides, you'll find starting points for which physical spaces, events, and media can help you. He gives special attention to Tech Square, which is the gateway to Georgia Tech and the center of gravity for Atlanta's tech scene. While these slides contain a lot of great insights, you'll need to claim your free high five in person since SlideShare doesn't support that functionality yet.

This new version of the popular embedded device comes with a new iteration of Broadcom’s VideoCore GPU platform, and was released with a fully open source driver stack, developed by Igalia.
