Pelé is considered the greatest soccer player of all time. He was born in Brazil in 1943 and played as a forward. Pelé started his professional career in 1956 with Santos FC in Brazil and played with them until 1974, scoring over 1000 goals. He also played for the New York Cosmos from 1975-1977. Pelé helped lead the Brazilian national team to three World Cup championships in 1958, 1962, and 1970, cementing his status as a legend in the sport.
