but at the same time has only very few openings available in the
industry.
• A B.Tech in Automobile Engineering is not a key to enter the
Automotive industry. The industry requires more of skilled workers
than engineers. There is no preference for Automobile Engineers.
Better choose Mechanical Engineering. The syllabus is 85% same.
• Majority of Electronics and Communication engineers are working in
software firms………
• B.Tech -IT course is being scrapped by most of the colleges.

During the IT boom season the most sought after courses were EC, CS, IT (no body wanted CE).
Now:
Nowadays CE, ME courses are in great demand (no one wants EC, CS)
Most of the course selections seems to be hype and crowd phenomenon…
Even now the major employers(who give proper salary)are from software
industry…………….
