1. Ajax is waiting outside his house for a taxi, holding his stomach in pain. He is going on his first date with a girl named Ella in the town center. 2. In the taxi, Ajax is nervous about the date and there being many people. The taxi driver, John, encourages him to focus on Ella. 3. When they arrive in the town center, Ajax sees the large crowd and asks to go home, but John convinces him to go through with the date. Ajax finds Ella in the crowd and they agree to go somewhere quieter since Ajax is uncomfortable with large crowds.

FADE IN:
INT. HOUSE - DAY
AJAX is hunched at the front door. He is gripping the handle
tightly whilst holding his stomach. At his feet is a
present. AJAX lets go of the handle and pulls a mobile from
his pocket.
POV PHONE
" Hey, I got here a little early, I’m just past the top of
the high street"
AJAX holds his head and slowly descends to a crouch,
trembling. Placing the mobile back into his pocket, AJAX
rises and reaches for the door handle with his trembling
hand.
EXT. HOUSE DRIVEWAY - DAY
The sky is dim and the street lights are on. AJAX walks to
the edge of the driveway and remains motionless with his
head down as he waits.
A black cab pulls up onto the kerb and AJAX climbs in,
placing the present beside him on the seat.
INT. TAXI - DAY
JOHN
Where are we off to?
AJAX looks out of the window and glances at the house. He
drops his head again
AJAX
Town centre.
JOHN glances into the rear view mirror and smiles at AJAX as
they set off. JOHN notices the wrapped present beside AJAX
JOHN
Meeting someone special?
AJAX nods his head, continuing to stare at the floor
JOHN
Are you from around here?

AJAX
Yes, I was raised here, I know the
place very well.
AJAX’s phone vibrates as he receives another message from
the girl
POV PHONE
" Everything okay? "
JOHN
We have arrived.
AJAX looks out of the widow, observing all of the people in
the street
AJAX
Could you take me home?
JOHN
Is it your first date?
AJAX
How did you know?
JOHN winks
AJAX
Can you take me home, please? I
don’t think I can do this. There
are too many people
JOHN
I know how you feel, I too was a
little afraid at first when I got
this job. I didn’t know the area
all too well. My first night out on
the town, well. I just focused on
the lady I was with.
JOHN raises his hand to show a wedding ring on one of his
fingers
JOHN
And I’m glad I did.
JOHN smiles and turns back around
JOHN
Go on, don’t keep her waiting.
AJAX opens the cab door and steps out onto the pavement. He
walks over to the passenger door window...

JOHN

AJAX

The cab drives away. AJAX takes a deep breath and walks
towards thee large group of people
AJAX spots ELLA in the crowd and increases his pace
ELLA
Hey, i’m so glad you made it!
AJAX passes ELLA the present
ELLA
Aww, thank you so much!
ELLA hugs AJAX, looking up at him
AJAX
I wouldn’t miss it for the world,
though its a little crowded don’t
you think?
ELLA
You don’t like crowds?
AJAX
Not particularly
ELLA
Then lets go somewhere quiet
