Confessions of a Shopaholic is a 2009 film adaptation of the novel series by Sophie Kinsella. It follows Rebecca Bloomwood, a shopaholic journalist living in Manhattan. She works for a magazine but dreams of working for Alette fashion magazine. At her interview there, she is told the job is filled. She has a second interview with Successful Savings magazine, where the editor Luke Brandon recognizes her from earlier. Though the interview goes poorly, Luke later hires her. Rebecca impresses Luke with her writing and is invited to an important conference, but faces challenges with debt collectors that threaten her job. She resolves her debts through a clothing sale and ends up working for Luke's new magazine.
