The Sherpa people are an ethnic group from Nepal who traditionally inhabit the Himalayan region. Sherpa villages are located between 2,400 to 3,600 meters in elevation on the southern slopes of the Himalayas. The Sherpa migrated to Nepal from Tibet in the 16th century and are divided into four main clans. Their traditional dress includes long-sleeved robes, blouses, trousers, and jackets made from materials like wool and silk. The Sherpa are farmers, porters, and traders and rely heavily on a potato-based diet along with vegetables, noodles, and small amounts of meat. the Tibetan-related ethnic groups

Northern Nepal.
