INFORMATION AND DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
The global energy system is changing. A planet destined for more people and rising living standards will need more
energy. But the world must also find ways to reduce carbon emissions and tackle climate change. Shell’s New Energies
business focuses on new fuels and power. The New Energies business is at the forefront of Shell’s purpose to deliver more
and cleaner energy solutions. This is exciting yet extremely challenging at the same time. Energy systems are changing
faster than at any point in history. The cost of electricity from renewable energy continues to fall. Hydrogen, biofuels, EV-
charging are lower carbon solutions that develop in in a rapid pace, but at the same time we are still testing our
hypotheses. Distributed energy systems allows end users to produce electricity – turning consumers into prosumers
(producer and customers).
More and more cities set a bold target to eliminate their carbon emissions and improve the efficiency of their energy
consumption. And at the same time, we have an ambition to supply 100 million people who currently do not have
reliable power today by 2030 . Working for New Energies, you are immersed in these challenges every single day. It is an
amazing opportunity to work as a graduate in New Energies; but supporting this fast-changing business is not for the faint
hearted. If ambiguity doesn’t scare you, if you have the grit and if working towards a bold ambition is something that

A planet destined for more people and rising living standards will need more energy. But the world must also find ways to reduce carbon emissions and tackle climate change. Shell’s New Energies business focuses on new fuels and power. The New Energies business is at the forefront of Shell’s purpose to deliver more and cleaner energy solutions. Distributed energy systems allows end users to produce electricity – turning consumers into prosumers (producer and customers). More and more cities set a bold target to eliminate their carbon emissions and improve the efficiency of their energy consumption. And at the same time, we have an ambition to supply 100 million people who currently do not have reliable power today by 2030 . Working for New Energies, you are immersed in these challenges every single day. It is an amazing opportunity to work as a graduate in New Energies; but supporting this fast-changing business is not for the faint hearted.
