Deepali Phadnis is the National Director of Mrs Asia International pageants in India. She has overcome obstacles like financial constraints and weight gain to win the Mrs Asia International title in 2012. As the National Director, she has helped Indian married women win numerous international pageant titles and awards. Deepali is now preparing for the 2015 pageants by beginning auditions across India to select contestants to represent the country.

from the president of
International Diabetes
Federation and has also
won Asian women of
Excellence Award.
2014 proved to be a
historic year for India as
Indian flag was waved

For the first time, India received
Fashion Asia Awards, the most
prestigious fashion award instituted
by Chinese NGO Fashion Industry.
Apart from this, India bagged such
prestigious subtitles as best National
Costume, Mrs Talented and most
supporting husband.
Breaking the myth that in our
Indian society men don’t support their
wives much, it was a moment of pride
and honour to receive the best
supporting husband award
by an Indian as this not only
shows family support but is
very encouraging to many
husbands to encourage
there wives to go out and
live the dream.
Success has now raised
expectation from everyone
and she is looking forward to
spectacular 2015 pageant.

reaking the stereotypes that
only slim girls can become
‘Beauty Queens’, Pune-
based Deepali Phadnis has
proved otherwise. Contrary
to what many may think,
Deepali’s journey to the top
has not been a smooth run.
She had always wanted to
walk the ramp for a beauty
pageant but it never happened
because of financial constraints and
educational limitations. She also met
with an accident after which she
gained a lot of weight. But the fighter
in her did not lose hope and in 2012
she became Mrs Asia International.
Deepali believes beauty is not only
being glamorous it’s about being
generous.
As Mrs Asia International title
holder, she has campaigned to
create awareness about diabetes,
which is a threat to India as diabetes
is affecting the youth and creates an
extra financial burden on developing

Contestants will compete for the
coveted title in evening gown, fitness

then moving to the city of Nawabs’,
auditions at Hyderabad, Delhi,
Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata to

Mrs Asia International is the
biggest beauty extravaganza of

continent. Before reaching inter-
national level contestants from all
over India need to contest nationally
for the coveted title of Mrs Asia
