The Color Run India 5K marathon will be held on October 25, 2015 in Ahmedabad, India. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for treating disadvantaged children suffering from cardiac diseases by hosting a 5K run where participants will be doused in colored powder at stations along the course. life, The Color Run India™ 5k is a five-kilometer, un-timed race in which
thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at

millions of vivid color combinations. The untimed event has no winners or prizes, but runners are showered
with colored powder, made of food-grade corn starch, at stations along the run.

This is the central area of the event where
all our pre and post run entertainment kicks
off. The Start Line and Finish Line is closely
located to The Center and therefore it will
be the area you usually enter before you
start the run and also where you will end up
when you finish the run.
The River front is the place to be and will be
filled with our sponsors, food vendors, our
merchandise store and stage!! of course the
stage is where our pre-event ZUMBA warm
up kicks off and where our TCRI Finish
Festival takes place.
This area is open to the general public so
spectators are welcome to come along &
wait for their beautiful friends and family to
complete the run.

The Color Run India™ event is a one of a

Runners' of all different speeds, ages, shapes,

Olympic athlete, the 3 miles of The Color

Finish Festival. This larger than life party is
equipped with music, dancing and massive
color throws, which create millions of vivid

The Start Chute opens 10 minutes
prior to the run.
Waves of approx. 500 participants will
start the run every 3-6 minutes.
Be sure to enter the Start Chute with
the people you wish to run with!
The Start Chute will only remain open
for approx. 30-45 minutes from when
the run starts. Therefore, make sure
you check out your city’s event page to
see what time you need to arrive to
gain entry to the course!

dancing, you'll be carried away in the
celebration of life, music, and culture.

Every 15 minutes, we will countdown to
a mass Color Throw. This creates the
infamous Color Cloud. Join us as we
welcome all Color Runners to the finish
Festival. Everyone throwing colors into
the air at the same time creates a
spectacular sight. This is where you’ll
want to use the color pack you received
as you crossed the finish line.
Hopefully you were able to resist
throwing it for this long. Trust us, it’s
worth the wait. If you have used, lost or
forgotten your personal Color Pack
(handed to you at the finish line), or
would like to purchase additional color,
we will have a limited quantity for sale at
the Festival! First come, first served!

Colors
The colors used are plant-based, non-
toxic, and environmentally-friendly. Made
from food-grade cornstarch, you could
even eat them (not that we suggest
that!). All these are toxic and can give
people skin allergies, irritated nose or
lungs and eye irritation. It´s not only
unhealthy for people and animals, also for
the environment it’s pollution.
Why we only use eco-friendly Colors?
Because “The Color Run India™” is
more fun and harmless with organic

The Finish Festival is the place to

As you cross the Finish Line, you

to the stage for a Color Throw!

About the project
The Color Run India 5K strives to have dedicated
Pediatric cardiac surgery unit, providing leadership
and excellence in the care of infants and children with
congenital and acquired heart diseases.
Proposed Cardiac Unit will equipped with
• A dedicated cardiac Cathlab for Pediatrics neonates
• Two dedicated cardiac operation theaters
• A 12 bedded cardiac NICU for recovery
• A 12 bedded cardiac PICU for recovery
Rationale
At The Color Run India 5K, every year more
than 300 children with cardiac illness are
referred to other Government aided and
private hospitals.
Over 3000 non affording children with cardiac illness
are in waiting list of some of largest government
hospitals of Ahmedabad. Not all parents can afford
expensive treatment offered by private hospitals.
