Healthy food means much more than sheer nourishment; refugees want to be actively involved in the food sourcing as it augments self-esteem. One of the most essential nutrition items missing in Viennese refugee shelters is fruits and vegetables. At the same time a lot of healthy food ends in the bin. Sharry is a one stop solution to these problems. Designed for easy understanding and usage Sharry helps refugees have access to healthy food, while giving them an opportunity to interact with locals. Sharry is based on the idea of demand and waste allocation of food resources in a city. Excess groceries that would go to waste for insufficient time to eat them, moving places or traveling plans, can be posted online and picked up by refugees in demand.
