Severino Alfonso Dunn has an extensive background in architecture and teaching. He received his PhD from ETSAM in Madrid, Spain and his Master's from Columbia University. He has taught at several universities in New York City, including Pratt Institute, Barnard and Columbia Colleges, New York Institute of Technology, and New York City College of Technology. His areas of teaching include architectural design, representation, construction documents, and computation and architecture. He has also lectured and exhibited his own architectural and art projects nationally and internationally.
