This document outlines three circles - circle of concern, circle of influence, and circle of control. The circle of concern includes things like school district policies and civic responsibilities that are out of one's control but still of concern. The circle of influence includes family, friends, and coworkers that one can influence. The circle of control includes one's own thoughts, actions, and behavior that are directly within one's control. It emphasizes focusing efforts on items in one's circle of influence and control rather than worrying about things outside of one's control.
