Objectives
26 February 2020
1. Understand the integration of data and evidence within
nutrition-relevant policies and programs;
2. Assess data-driven coherence both within and across
policies and programs;
3. Understand how the available data sources are being
accessed and used by data users and decision makers
and if the data are informing policies and programs

Editor's Notes

  • #6 The figure illustrates the conceptualization of data integration in four process steps: 1) identification of key nutrition challenges 2) states the nutrition objectives to address the identified challenges, 3) identification of outcome indicators (nutrition status or nutrition drivers) to measure progress towards the stated objectives, 3) identification of relevant nutrition interventions to address nutrition challenges and reach objectives, and 4) identification of relevant indicators to measure intervention coverage and track service delivery. We assess internal coherence   through these four steps within a given policy or program and we assess external coherence across policies and programs.  We did more than just look at data-driven coherence for the policy. Although I might be thinking of data-driven in a too narrow way.  So do all our different steps fit now under these? We placed budget under interventions e.g. I think we need to explain a little bit more here what is explained in the detailed table below.
