This document discusses capital structure and the determinants of a firm's mix of debt and equity financing. It first examines Modigliani-Miller's proposition that capital structure is irrelevant under certain assumptions, such as no taxes, bankruptcy costs, or asymmetric information. It then explores how factors like taxes, risk, financial slack, asset characteristics, and costs of financial distress influence a firm's optimal capital structure. Specific examples are provided to illustrate how these various determinants impact capital structure decisions.
Philip H Levy is an expert in active listening. There are two main components to active listening: non-verbal and verbal feedback. Non-verbal feedback like making eye contact and good posture demonstrates listening. Verbal cues like short clarifying statements also show active listening. Reflecting on the speaker's emotions can show deeper understanding, and only offering advice after fully understanding the issue prevents rushing or ignoring the speaker.
Dr. Philip H. Levy is an expert in building successful relationships. The document provides tips for forming strong relationships, such as actively listening to understand others' perspectives before stating your own, and finding win-win solutions that benefit all parties rather than viewing interactions as competitions with winners and losers. Building relationships requires effort but following these tips can help improve communication and establish strong, healthy relationships both personally and professionally.
The document discusses Todorov's 5 stages of narrative structure: equilibrium, disequilibrium, recognition of disequilibrium, attempt to repair disequilibrium, and new equilibrium. It then provides examples from the film Armageddon that illustrate each stage. For instance, the beginning shows the characters' normal lives (equilibrium), then an asteroid is discovered that will destroy Earth (disequilibrium), the problem is recognized, an attempt is made to destroy the asteroid, and in the end the problem is solved and new relationships are formed (new equilibrium). The document also discusses Strauss' view of narratives being built around fundamental opposites like good vs evil, and provides examples of opposites used in different film genres.
This document discusses different types of diegetic sound used in a film scene. It describes a scene where cheering and clapping from the crowd can be heard and seen, demonstrating diegetic sound from the characters' perspective. It also discusses how the volume is turned down to emphasize the main character feeling overwhelmed and how foley artists created the sound of her dress twisting. Ambient crowd noise is heard from off screen to make the scene feel more realistic while a sound bridge connects the presenter's dialogue.

The document discusses the mark of the beast from Revelation and argues that it is Sunday worship, based on the following points:
1) The Bible designates the Sabbath as Saturday and a sign of God's authority, while Sunday worship was established by the Catholic Church and is recognized as the mark of its authority.
2) Roman Catholic sources admit that there is no scriptural authority for Sunday worship but that it was transferred from Saturday by the Catholic Church's tradition and power.
3) By observing Sunday, Protestants are accepting the authority of the Pope and Catholic Church instead of relying solely on scripture as their proclaimed standard, as Rome challenged in the Council of Trent. Sunday observance is therefore
The document summarizes Todorov's theory of narrative structure and applies it to the film Armageddon. Todorov proposed that narratives typically follow five stages: 1) Equilibrium, 2) Disequilibrium, 3) Recognition of disequilibrium, 4) Attempt to repair disequilibrium, and 5) New equilibrium. The document then shows how each of these stages is represented in the plot and events of Armageddon, from the initial normal work environment that is disrupted by the discovery of an approaching asteroid, to the crew's attempt to destroy the asteroid and restore normality.

Facebook is the most popular social networking site with over 1 billion users worldwide. It allows users to have both a personal account to connect with friends as well as business pages to promote organizations. The document provides an analysis of 4 preliminary horror movie posters. For each poster, it identifies what is good and bad about the design, as well as how it affects the audience and uses conventions of the horror genre. Poster 1 uses dark red and black colors and dripping font to grab attention. Poster 2 features an overlapping title and frightened children to convey the plot and psychological horror. Poster 3 uses direct eye contact and a symbolic image to immediately make audiences uncomfortable. Poster 4 layers text over an image and uses transparency effects to create an unsettling and psychopathic atmosphere.
This document contains sample page layouts that were planned to design pages. The page layouts show the placement of various elements like the masthead, kickers, captions, headlines, and images. They also include conventions like the selling line, banner, feature article photo, and menu strip. The document provides examples of how different sections of a page can be organized through the use of these elements and conventions.

This document compares changes between drafts of a film project. It notes that the distribution company was changed to an independent one for issues raised. The filming location was also changed from Kensal Green station to Langley station to avoid risks of filming without permission. Several shots were adjusted for better framing, including ensuring the camera was straight and hands were not cut off. The dance scene was altered so the character hears knocking and hides rather than being caught by her mother opening the door.
My friends and I went fishing at the lake last weekend. The weather was beautiful and sunny, which made for great fishing conditions. Although the fish were not biting much, we enjoyed being outdoors and spending time together on the boat.
Vanessa's blog provided regular updates of her drafts and planning, clearly showing the different stages and changes made. She indicated how some ideas for her video were developed. Overall, Vanessa kept her blog well organized and regularly updated, clearly demonstrating the different stages of her task.

2. COME VIENE ASSORBITO L’ALCOL ?
Il viaggio dell'alcol nel nostro corpo inizia dal tubo
digerente dove viene assorbito totalmente e

contenuta nell'aria espirata. Insomma un alcoltest usa e
getta.
