• At the end of the sessions group will have

At the end of the seminar group will be able to,
 Define physical,cognitive development and
growth,developmental task.
 Enlist the developmental task from infancy to

 Explain the role of parent and nurse in

6. Developmental tasks
A developmental task is a task that arises at
or about a certain period of life ,unsucessful
achievement of which leads to inability to
perform tasks associated with the next
period or stage in life.

7. Special needs
Any of various difficulties(such as physical
,emotional ,behavioral,or learning disability or
impairment) that causes an individual to require
additional or specialized services or
accomodations .

Normal weight of NB-2.5kg to 3kg
Doubling of birth weight by age 6
month
Tripling of birth weight by age 1year

10. Head and chest circumference

Head and chest circumference equalise at

than head

12.

height around age 16 to 17.
Boys gain 10.2cm to 30.8cm.
Weight
Girls gain6.8 to 25kg over a 3 year.
Boys gain 6.8 to 29.5kg over a 4 year.
