• I focus on using a vast array of strategies to keep leaners engaged
and help them achieve better learning outcomes:
– Define learning objectives that are actions, not information
– Design relevant activities that allow learners to apply what they learned and
achieve learning goals
– Use a variety of activities (Absorb, Do, Connect)
– Apply the multimedia principle, stimulating more than one sense (graphics,
videos, narration)
– Explore social media tools to enhance collaborative learning
– Use Web Writing Techniques
– Apply the Inverted Pyramid Method, structuring the information according to its
importance

FAQs and glossaries are a a must-have resource in any course. The learners can easily find definitions and
explanations to key words or terms related to the topic they are studying.

Videos where the tutor highlights the most important aspects of the course/topic and motivates the learners.

15. Tailor-made diagrams
Tailor-made diagrams illustrate the key-concepts of a subject and show how they are related. This one explained the
different phases of a legal process. It's the application of the multimedia principle (Mayer, 2001): one learns best when
they combine words and graphics.

Information organized into different levels, allowing the learners to focus on the main topic or explore further. Key
aspects about the topic highlighted.
