Analyze Learner
The class that I am teaching is a 2nd grade classroom with
23 students, 10 girls and 13 boys. There are 3 children with
ADHD (2 boys and 1 girl) and there are 2 African
American girls and the rest are White.
Main Objective
My students will enumerate the seasons in the United
States by watching a video, reading information and
making a calendar with 85% accuracy by the end of the
week.
Day by Day
Monday: The students will start making their calendars with all the months in it and then
talking aloud about where they think each season fits appropriately in each month.
Tuesday: The students will finish up their calendars and then discuss them out loud after
looking on the computers and reading information about each season and what they
mean.
Wednesday: The students will familiarize their selves with where each season goes in each
month and put them on their calendars and finish up with those.
Thursday: The students will be watching a video about the seasons of the year in the United
States.
Friday: The students will then go over what happens during each season and what cloudy,
sunny, rainy, snowy, and leaves falling means. They will draw a picture of each of these on
their calendars and where they think these fit appropriate on each month.
