• Managed my area within the Stats & Analysis newsroom. My area was responsible for
handling all pregame data management including rosters and events. The role required
guiding employees, delegation and constantly creating efficiencies in a fast paced
environment.
• Worked with leagues and teams throughout the country (including the NFL, NBA, NHL
MLB, MLS, PGA, LPGA, FBS, FCS and Division II and III schools) to organize schedule
and roster entry for the department. This information is displayed on ESPN.com and live
on-air panels.
• Served as UAT Lead for a specific area in the newsroom for a project designed to
improve upon and build new tools as well as move existing data to an entirely new
database. This required project oversight, meeting organization, training employees,
documentation and planning including meeting deadlines, creating test cases and the testing
itself. This role developed project management, leadership and decision making skills.
• Oversaw and managed many direct reports.
