The onion (Allium cepa L., from Latin cepa "onion"), also known as the bulb onion or common onion, is a vegetable that is the most widely cultivated species of the genus Allium. Its close relatives include the garlic, shallot, leek, chive,[2] and Chinese onion.

11. Conclusion
• Akra Niketan is the most suitable for late kharif or early
rabi season cultivation in the south Chhotanagpur
plateau of Jharkhand in terms of yield attributes followed
by Agrifound Dark Red and Sukhsagar.
• Sasyagavya (10%) is the most suitable treatment for
onion as a liquid organic manure and combination of
both Arka Niketan and BD-501 (3%) gave higher yield
• Sasyagavya (10%) has greater influence on quality trait s
expression in different onion varieties, however, Arka
