1) Skin cancer is caused by UV damage to DNA from sun exposure. UV light can cause mutations in tumor suppressor genes, allowing uncontrolled cell growth. 2) Fair skinned people are most at risk, as they have less natural protection. Changes in moles should be checked by a doctor. 3) Secondary cancers are more dangerous as they can spread to other parts of the body. While sun exposure can't be completely avoided, using sunscreen and limiting midday sun can reduce cancer risk.
