DAY 1: AMSTERDAM
After a long and terrible night spent on the bus, we arrived in
Amsterdam in the morning. We had a quick tour in Amsterdam and then
we had some free time there. Amsterdam was really beautiful. It‘s also
known as Venice of the North and I can completely agree with that.
And believe me, there‘s no city in the world where are more cyclicts.
DAY 2: WELCOME TO ENGLAND
We spent the whole night on the ferry. Some of us were really afraid
of that night but I think we had a lot of fun. The ship was very big and
there were also two cinemas, casino, many restaurants and a big shop.
In the morning we went away from the harbour in Newcastle to see
Hadrian‘s Wall. Unfortunately, we didn‘t see it but I don‘t really
remember why.
Then we visited Kelso Abbey that was actually ruined abbey with a big
cemetery.
Our last stop during our way to Seton Sands Holiday Park, was
atGlenkinchie Distillery. It was a nice tour. Ian showed us how they make
single malt whisky in their distillery.
DAY 3: EDINBURGH
We arrived in capital city of Scotland early morning. At first, we visited
Edinburgh Castle. The castle area was large and we didn‘t see
everything there. However, I found the prison most interesting.

Then, we went to the Museum of Childhood which was pretty
interesting. There were a lot of toys we really liked.
After that we went to the National
Gallery of Scotland. I can‘t tell you
anything about it because we didn‘t
spend a lot of time there. We went
shopping to Princes Street.
DAY 4: LOCH NESS
On the 4th day we went to the Scottish Highlands. At first we went to
see Urquhart Castle‘s ruins which are situated on the north shore of
Loch Ness.
Loch Ness Urquhart Castle
On our way to Seton Sands we stopped to look at the Glenfinnan Viaduct. It‘s a
bridge where some scenes from Harry Potter and other movies were shooted. After
that we also had a short walk somewhere in Glen Nevis, near Fort Williams. But we
didn‘t spend there much time.
DAY 5: DUNFERMLINE AND
DUNDEE
We didn‘t see many things that day. We just went to the city of
Dunfermline. Many years ago it was the capital city. We just visited the
abbey in that city where a man told us some stories about Robert the
Bruce.
And then we went to Dundee. We visited Captain Scott‘s Ship Discovery
and her museum. Scott sailed to Antarctica on the ship.
DAY 6: WAY TO NEWCASTLE
We left Seton Sands and on our way to Newcastle, we stopped to see
inhabited Floors Castle and Bamburgh Castle. In the evening we left
Great Britain to the Netherlands on the ferry again.

DAY 7, 8, 9
The last three days were really great but everyone couldn‘t wait to be at
home. We visited Van Gogh‘s Museum in Amsterdam. Then we had some
free time in Dutch city of Utrecht. In the evening we arrived in Cologne
in Germany. We slept in a hotel and the next day we spent some time in
the city and visited Ludwig Museum.
