The London Canal Museum opened in 1992 in a former Victorian ice warehouse built between 1862-1863. It houses exhibitions that cover the history of London's canals and all aspects of the UK's waterways. The museum offers monthly talks, summer family activities, guided walks, and trips through the Islington Tunnel.

The museum was opened in 1992 and it
displays information about the history of
London's canals. It is housed in a Victorian ice
warehouse that was used by Carlo Gatti. The
building was constructed between 1862 and
1863 to house ice imported from Norway by
ship and canal barge. The exhibitions cover all
aspects of the UK's waterways. The museum
runs monthly evening illustrated talks, summer
activities for families, guided to path walks and
guided trips through the Islington Tunnel.
