Schizocartography is a method of mapping spaces that questions dominant power structures and allows heterogeneous voices to be heard. It reveals aesthetic and ideological contradictions in urban spaces while reclaiming subjectivity for individuals. The talk will define schizocartography, discuss its roots in psychogeography and Deleuze/Guattari, and provide examples from the University of Leeds halls and a project called SCRIB. Handouts and slides will be available online along with information on a free zine about psychogeography.
