This document discusses planning and time off management apps that allow companies to more efficiently manage their workforce, provide autonomy and clarity to employees, and integrate with other apps like time off, employees, and project management. It highlights how the planning app can save time, enforce collaboration, and improve employee satisfaction, and how the time off app allows employees to quickly request and be approved for time off while keeping track of time off for all employees.
I am going to do a demo, but first I would like to tell you what makes Planning so great.
As you know, Planning came out on Odoo 13. It’s been around only for one year.
Planning is an app to organize the schedule of your employees
And for Odoo 14, we have added some features and improvements that make the UX and funcionality even better.
We all know with proper planning and preparation, the outcome is much better.
How do we do this?
Odoo Planning helps you to create schedules, assign shifts and create reports.
With Planning, it’s really easy to share the schedules with your employees.
They will be able to see their shifts, take open shifts, inform when they are unavailable
This way everybody will be on the same page and mistakes will be avoided.
Planning App and Odoo in general are built in a way that helps you to be more efficient, do things faster and smoother.
For example, it’s very quick to replicate shifts from previous weeks and employees will be able to chat with each other, helping collaboration between them.
Odoo Planning empowers your employees, improving their satisfaction and their productivity.
Remember this app is also integrated with more apps, increase Planning funcionality and scope > more powerful

Assign an open shift to a different employee and mention that the top left corner is orange because we have not published it yet.
Integration with Time Off: the days on which an employee is on time off + global time off are greyed in the gantt and calendar views, so you can plan accordingly > use this as a stepping stone to introduce Time Off.
