SCENE IDEAS
Here are sketches of ideas that could become scenes of my documentary.
This would be a scene where my mum is sewing with a machine (I will
decorate) throughout the whole documentary she could be sewing and
narrating and at the very end we would see what she made,
All the scenes you would see my mum it will be animated, But she will
narrate (tell her mothers story) accompanied with the sound effects of
the sewing machine.
This scene is where the photographs would be showed,
they will be scanned and I will for each photograph
decorate differently (sew in to it).The background will be a
stop motion of fabric oddments moving. With my mum
narrating explaining for the background sound.
The scene of the title sequence would involve a stop
motion of the title (Vanda) being sewed.
This could be in close ups of thread into needle, needle into
fabric, etc. In slow motion and then back to normal.
The scene would be animation telling one of my mums
memory of my grandad helping my grandmother picking
up fabric from the fabric shop. My grandad is Daltonic (An
inherited defect in the perception of red and green; red-
green colorblindness.)With the scene demonstrating how
he would see all the fabrics and later seeing as normal we
would experience both experience his and my
grandmothers shock.
This would illustrate my mum telling how it was the scene
would show how was my mothers life surround my
grandmother life, showing them in her sewing room helping
each other.
This is my house in Brazil with me and my little sister
walking to church with matching dresses that my
mother always made. The scene would show my
mother carrying her sewing knowledge forward.
