The Scarborough Women's Centre (SWC) is a non-profit organization that provides support services to empower women and help them leave abusive situations. They offer information, support, and education through case management, counseling, mentor programs, educational workshops, and other resources. SWC aims to help women build confidence and skills to make positive long-term changes in their lives. The organization relies on government and private funding to maintain their services for women and children in Scarborough.

4. WHO ARE THEY?
Scarborough Women’s Centre (SWC) is a non-profit,

6. HOW ARE THEY FUNDED?
They are funded by the Federal, Provincial, Municipal
government, foundations, corporations, individuals and
special events.
They get donations from workshops
Money donations from supporters
7. HOW YOU CAN HELP…
DONATE
With….
$50.00 will help one woman build self-confidence in an eight-week
group.
$110.00 will help three women build support networks and
confidence in a six-week group.
$150.00 will help 12 women learn to improve their health through a
special workshop.
$200 will allow two volunteers to be trained as mentors with women in
transition.
$500 will ensure one woman is supported to achieve her goals through
three months of counseling.
$1,000 will help 20 women develop personal strategies for success in an
eight-week course.
