Corporate Statement
SBC CORPORATION BERHAD (199310P) is a construction and property development
company listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.
Founded in 1954, SBC built its reputation primarily on the construction of high-rise
buildings in Malaysia, having first established its name as builder of many Kuala
Lumpur’s landmark buildings.
In development, SBC’s current projects are located in both Peninsula & East Malaysia
encompassing the entire spectrum of real estate products. In manufacturing, SBC is the
exclusive Malaysian partner of the world’s largest producer and market leader in
plastic piping systems.
Today, SBC’s legacy of reliable delivery is associated with completing high grade
projects set within ever challenging circumstances of time and budget.

1.) Strategic Alliances
Paling Industries Sdn Bhd
Paling is a partnership with ALIAXIS, the world leader and largest producer of
plastic piping systems. With full SIRIM certification, Paling leads the local
market in high quality PVC piping systems for water and waste transmission. As
an ISO9002 accredited company Paling is the regional manufacturing centre
for the international Aliaxis network.
Ligamas Sdn Bhd
Ligamas is a joint venture with PKNS, the state housing agency with the largest
development land bank held by a government body in Selangor. With
Ligamas, PKNS and SBC are jointly developing the 1,800 acre new township
of Bandar Utama Batang Kali as well as Damansara Emas in Kota Damansara.
2.) Building Communities
SBC is committed to building home and work communities and have been
involved in the developments that encompass the whole range of real estate
products.
3.) Construction Specialist
As a building contractor, SBC delivered many of the tall buildings in Kuala
Lumpur with a 100% track record of timely completion. SBC is a ‘Class A’
contractor registered under PKK and PAM as well as ‘G7’ classification under
CIDB.
SBC’s experience profile encompasses high-rise commercial buildings, financial
institutions, commercial centres, hotels, local and international government
institutions, industrial centres, high-rise and exclusive residential condominiums
and landed property products. SBC is experienced in project revival.
Today, SBC continues its legacy as a builder focusing in selected projects of
negotiated contract value.

1.) Chairman's Message
We have always thought that building our company has a lot in common with
construction and development. We laid the foundation for SBC 50 years ago
upon a simple commitment towards delivering the best through the use of
designs and processes that promote standards and by teaming up with
dedicated professionals.
On this base, we have had to search for innovative solutions in ever challenging
circumstances, learn to trust our instincts, persevere and yet grow in the face of
constant change in the economy as well as our industry. Anyone who has ever
built anything, be it a home or a highway will agree that the best execution
comes from thorough planning, timely implementation, continuous review and
constant improvement. Experience has taught us this structure of execution; to
review ourselves all the time and embrace change while at times instigating it.
In an age of stiff competition, SBC’s tenure in the marketplace has also
highlighted the importance of building businesses through building relationships.
From one relationship we build others over time, always mindful of our brand
promise and respecting all with whom we do business. With our sub-contractors,
service providers, customers and staff we have always looked beyond the
needs of the day so that all may profit in synergy.
A pioneering spirit, by building one idea upon another, has also been our
guiding principle. Since the early days and even now, we strive always to
apply our know-how to building communities with the same care as we would
as if it were our own. Our focus always, is on tomorrow and the day after
because we, like any builder, are always interested in upkeep and extensions.
