Bri'Ana Savage is a criminal justice major who wants to vote to make a difference in society and have a voice in the country like others. She would like to see improvements in how veterans are treated and requiring drug tests for people receiving financial assistance. She learned about judicial policymaking and the impact of court decisions in her semester, and wants to know more about what happens behind closed doors in the White House. Healthcare availability and affordability is an important political issue to her because it determines access to life-saving treatment. The First Amendment is the most important to her as it gives everyone the right to freely state their opinions. 2. Active Participant In Our System
 The reason why I want to vote is so I can make a difference in our society and
actually have a voice in our country like others.
 The main two things I would like to change is how our veterans are treated and for
drug test to be given to people who are on some type of financial assistance.
 One things I would like to stay the same is for everyone to continue to be able to
have a voice in our society.

3. This Semester
 During this semester, I learned about the judicial policymaking and the impact of
court decisions. These are two things I didn’t know much about before taking this
class.
 I would like to know more about what goes on behind close doors of the White
House.
 I learned everything I wanted to know about this course.

4. Political Issue
 One single political issue I believe is important is availability and affordability of
healthcare. The reason I feel it will be significant for the future is because it
determines whether some people get treated for a disease that might risk them
their life’s.

5. Most Important Amendment
 The most important amendment to me is the First Amendment. It states “Freedom
of speech, press, and religion, and right to assemble peaceably and to petition
government to redress grievances.”
 The reason why I think the First Amendment is most important is because it gives
everyone the right to state their opinion. Everyone can speak their mind.

6. Lessons Learned This Semester
 One lesson I learned that I will carry with me beyond this course is to not let what
other’s say get to me.
 Another lesson I learned is to actually listen to other people’s thought process
because some people have a different outlook on everything in their own unique
way. It can definitely make you look at thing’s in different mindset.
 The last lesson I learned is to continue to vote no matter what.
