INTRODUCTION
• Funeral Insurance it is a term life insurance policy where the benefit is used towards funeral expenses. The benefit
can be in the form of a funeral service, a cash benefit that could be used towards a funeral, or a combination of
the two. Funeral insurance provides your family with a lump sum to cover the costs of your funeral in the event of
your death.
• Preparing for the funeral of a loved one is stressful, and this is especially true when money is tight .While a
celebration of life can help families find closure and peace after the death of a loved one, the cost of a funeral is
higher than many realize. In fact, the average price of a funeral with burial and viewing worked out to $9,135 with
a burial vault in 2019,according to figures from National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA).
• Individual who want to save their families from having to cover funeral expenses in their time of grief can plan
ahead with the purchase of a burial insurance policy. This insurance is a type of whole life policy that helps people
make sure they have funding available for the cost of a funeral, burial, or cremation, and even a headstone for
loved ones to visit once they pass away.
SCOPE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
• Funeral insurance is type of funeral expense life insurance policy diagram to cover the cost of your funeral or cremation expenses when you die. Because many
people don’t realize that funeral can cost upwards of several thousand dollars , they do not often think about planning ahead . this type of situation can sometimes
lead to a financial hardship on families or loved ones who must cover the costs . after you die burial insurance pays the death benefit of your policy directly to your
beneficiary who can use the money in any manner.
• For example ,if you have a $15,000 burial insurance policy and funeral expenses came in at $10,000, your beneficiary might chose to use the additional funds to
pay for other final expenses such as outstanding medicals bills, legal costs, or any other outstanding debts you may owe.
• The following works will you become easier by this project and some extra functionalities, that will help in extracting more benefits.
• Funeral insurance is often marketed to seniors as something crucial that they should buy to protect their loved ones from big expenses after they're gone.
• Funeral insurance scope in India funeral insurance is a nice-looking option for investment but most people are not aware of its advantage as an investment option
remember that foremost and first insurance is about risk cover and protection by buying life insurance , you buy peace of mind insurance also server as an
excellent tax saving mechanism.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
PROPOSED SYSTEM
• The project is focused on Insurance Management System, which shows information about different parts of insurance company, such as Agent, Customer, Policy,
Employee, Claim Handling and other related concepts, such as Claim, Premium, and different kinds of Insurance policies. The objective of the project here, is to
implement a database management system, such that, it uses the different tables to evaluate the performance of Insurance company. Using this database can help
insurance companies in order to answer some questions such as:
• •How many customers they already have?
• •How many policies they have?
• •How many customers have more than one policy?
• •Which kind of policy sold the highest?
• •How much is the premium that the company got from customer?
• •How many policies have been claimed?
• •Recognize customers that have more policies.
• •Recognize customers that have more valuable policies.
• •Calculate high/low risk customers.
• •Calculate best policies, which cost more premium and have less claim, and also number of policy sold that includes those factors.
• •Calculate average time to recompense for damage.

CONCLUSION
• This chapter has shown that funeral insurance is one of the most popular microinsurance products in a number of
countries. While being part of the broader microinsurance market, it also has a number of particular features.
Funeral insurance is not just insurance business as usual and requires a dedicated understanding of the dynamics
driving funeral insurance markets. This applies to both insurers seeking to effectively target and distribute it, as
well as for regulators seeking to find the right regulatory approach to it. Often, these dynamics relate to the
underlying funeral service. The funeral service channel may drive demand, distribution and underwriting of
funeral insurance. The link to the funeral service creates a tangible benefit for funeral insurance that engenders
trust and provides real value, but that can also lead to vulnerability to consumer abuse. Increasingly, insurers are
starting to focus on ways to provide better value by adding elements beyond pure funeral insurance. In this way,
funeral insurance is evolving into life insurance that can form the basis for asset formation and intergenerational
transfers.
• In conclusion, the experiences reflected in this chapter raise key principles for the delivery of value in the funeral
insurance market.

The objective of the project here, is to implement a database management system, such that, it uses the different tables to evaluate the performance of Insurance company.
