- Tizen is evolving. Tizen Launched it as an open source project in 2012 even though it was originally designed for smartphones , it soon also provided wearables and TV Profiles. The first commercial Tizen product was Samsung Smart watch in 2014 and now Tizen has become the OS for the early of old Samsung product to include TV, Mobile, Refrigenerators, Robot Vacuum cleaners, air condition and so on. Because of is proven record of sales growth, we can say Tizen is the most accessible Linux based OS in the world.
- Samsung have made, Samsung have making progress but IoT is also evolving rapidly and we are facing some challenges for example for inventions very small devices and even everyday items will cross platform to connected to the Internet and do something useful for users.
- As a result even more application will appear and more and more developers will be required. Samsung need to find a way to embrace those developers and to enhance their productivity.
- Tizen put pointer offers for solutions. First, We introducing a dual application development environment to support dual language api’s frameworks Second, Tizen device coverage is being extended to lightweight devices, so Tizen can be configured to handle various types of devices. Lastly, it allows device manufactures to deploy, monitor and update process of details converniently
- Tizen 4.0 provides all new ways to develop applications other than just using native and HTML. Samsung Introducing C# , .Net Core, Xamarin.Forms and Visual Studio for Tizen. With C# and .Net Core , it is possible to implement high quality applications, basically in less time. Xamarin Forms very popular UI toolkit prefer cross-platform UI toolkit will allow developers to easily to put their iOS, Android and Windows Applications. Visual Studio for Tizen Provide device emulators and an extension to improve productivity. They make it easier to develop Tizen .Net application. With Tizen .Net, you can easily participate event for your another Tizen Developer or not on embedded software developer. Without a doubt, adding on dual language on the platform is very hard, if we don’t have Microsoft collaboration and the power of open-source project, it would not have been possible in such a short time. Tizen Community and Microsoft will collaborate closely to make Tizen more valuable
- In November last year, Samsung had released the first version of Tizen .Net and after that , Samsung release 2 additional previews of Tizen .Net. As a part of Tizen 4.0 , the Tizen .Net included in the SDK for Samsung Devices. Tizen .Net enabled TVs will show the ricj functionality and excellent performance on Real Products and you can confident Tizen .Net will spread to all other device types
- Samsung Tizen support Lightweigth Device. For Convenient, those devices that have memory size ranging from 10 KB to less than 2 MB, lets call them lightweight devices. Our solution for light weight devices is Tizen IoT, it includes the Real Times OS support and Tizen RT includes a JavaScript application framework called IoT touches , we can think of IoT touches as the lightweight version of nodeJS, it will provide a convenient way to control the devices.
- Will it be easy for you to build platforms for new device types other than mobiles and Tvs ? Yes, it offers configurable assembly of building blocks. Because most of both components for platforms are available and maintained continuously in Tizen. The Building blocks will allow you to design the new devices very quickly. Device developers or device manufactures will be able to focus on differentiating their devices and service when they make new devices with Tizen. Its will be awesome to developers or developer souls and all manufacturers
- Can it enhanced Maintainability in Tizen 4.0 ? Yes, Software deployment of update, installing a new module ,device monitoring ,security patches, can be easily and quickly solved with Tizen Cloud infrastructure without separate infrastructure , device manufacturers can service in table maintenance and operational services for their products and it will save cost and time and it will satisfy their users.
- Tizen is preparing for IoT extended of application environment especially Tizen IT to support lightweight devices and platform configurability and maintainability
- Tizen 4.0 and later version will have extended application ecosystem and device ecosystem giving you everything you need. You can be certain that these will happen soon.
- So Tizen 4.2 will complete by the end of this year. The future of IoT is right in front of us, the IoT present you with the opportunity of a lifetime to participate in making the future better.

- Tizen .NET supports C# APIs, which expose the Tizen native framework APIs features, such as Application, Connectivity, Multimedia, Location, and System. The C# APIs provide support for 60% of Tizen Mobile APIs.
- Tizen .NET enables developers to build .NET applications with Xamarin.Forms and the Tizen .NET framework. Xamarin.Forms allows them to easily create a user interface, and the Tizen platform API provides numerous interfaces to much of the hardware that is found in modern TVs, and mobile, wearable, and IoT devices.
- A managed runtime offers the following advantages for your application development: Faster time to develop : Application development is accelerated since the managed runtime already handles many functions that otherwise have to be coded in the application (the Tizen Native API and Tizen Web API already provide this type of benefit). Safer code : Managed runtimes can handle, for example, bound checking, type safety, garbage collection, memory protection services, and objects being invoked directly (the Tizen Web API already provides some of these benefits, but not type safety, as JavaScript is not a strongly typed language). Lower deployment costs : Component-based architecture makes it easier and faster to deploy applications in an enterprise environment characterized by multiple platforms, devices, and legacy systems. Better quality software : Managed runtimes free you to focus on the business logic and code specific to the application while reducing the number of coding errors. Cross-platform support : The managed code is portable; Tizen .NET applications can have large portions of their logic applied to other systems supported by the .NET Core and Xamarin.Forms portions of the runtime.
