4. Perfect Number (Bilangan Sempurna)
Karena kepercayaan mistis tertentu, orang Yunani kuno tertarik pada
bilangan bulat yang sama dengan jumlah dari semua pembagi positif
yang tepat. Bilangan bulat seperti itu disebut bilangan sempurna.
Definisi.
Jika 𝑛 bilangan bulat positif dan 𝜎 𝑛 = 2𝑛, maka 𝑛 disebut bilangan
sempurna.
Contoh 7.10.
Karena 𝜎 6 = 1 + 2 + 3 + 6 = 12, maka 6 adalah bilangan sempurna.
Perhatikan juga bahwa 𝜎 28 = 1 + 2 + 4 + 7 + 14 + 28 = 56, maka 28
juga merupakan bilangan sempurna.

Bilangan bulat positif n adalah bilangan sempurna jika dan hanya jika

6. Mersenne Primes (Prima Mersenne)
Definisi.
Jika 𝑚 bilangan bulat positif, maka 𝑀𝑚 = 2𝑚
− 1 disebut bilangan
Mersenne ke-m; jika 𝑝 adalah prima dan 𝑀𝑝 = 2𝑝
− 1 juga prima, maka 𝑀𝑝
disebut prima Mersenne.
Contoh 7.11.
Bilangan Mersenne 𝑀7 = 27
− 1 adalah bilangan prima, sedangkan bilangan
Mersenne 𝑀11 = 211
− 1 = 2047 = 23 . 89 adalah komposit.
Teorema 7.12.
Jika 𝑝 adalah bilangan prima ganjil, maka setiap pembagi dari bilangan
Mersenne 𝑀𝑝 = 2𝑝
− 1 berbentuk 2𝑘𝑝 + 1, maka 𝑘 adalah bilangan bulat
