The center was established in 2011 with the purpose of evolving agricultural
techniques that are adequate and suitable for the hot and dry climates. This
center contains a number of international specialists in addition to
international experts belongs to several international and regional
agricultural research centers that are attached to the center through
technical agreements.
The center preforms many agricultural researches in the field of developing
modern agricultural techniques such Soilless culture (Hydroponics), green
house management, fully controlled growing rooms, integrated production
and protection techniques (IPPM), etc...
The center provides numerous training opportunities for technicians,
extension agents, and growers from the Arabian Peninsula region, Asia and
North Africa through an extensive training programs that depends on
practical field work and conducted by highly specialized scientists.
The center also initiates many studies about food security, modern
techniques for vegetable production as well as visibility studies and
specialized development studies.
