Uniforms convey a sense of power and professionalism, whether the sleek lines of a pilot’s uniform or the timeless style of a flight attendant’s attire. However, why do they don uniforms? The answer for pilots is twofold. First, the uniform helps identify the pilot as the aircraft’s captain, who is responsible for the lives of everyone on board. Second, the uniform also portrays a sense of reliability and skill. After all, if a pilot doesn’t look the part, how can passengers have faith in their ability to ensure their safety?
As for flight attendants, their uniforms serve a greater purpose than simply identifying them as cabin personnel. It also demonstrates to passengers that they are personable and willing to assist.

Antibiotic Stewardship by Anushri Srivastava.pptxAnushriSrivastav
Stewardship is the act of taking good care of something.
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
WHO launched the Global Antimicrobial Resistance and Use Surveillance System (GLASS) in 2015 to fill knowledge gaps and inform strategies at all levels.
ACCORDING TO apic.org,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a coordinated program that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials (including antibiotics), improves patient outcomes, reduces microbial resistance, and decreases the spread of infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms.
ACCORDING TO pewtrusts.org,
Antibiotic stewardship refers to efforts in doctors’ offices, hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care settings to ensure that antibiotics are used only when necessary and appropriate
According to WHO,
Antimicrobial stewardship is a systematic approach to educate and support health care professionals to follow evidence-based guidelines for prescribing and administering antimicrobials
In 1996, John McGowan and Dale Gerding first applied the term antimicrobial stewardship, where they suggested a causal association between antimicrobial agent use and resistance. They also focused on the urgency of large-scale controlled trials of antimicrobial-use regulation employing sophisticated epidemiologic methods, molecular typing, and precise resistance mechanism analysis.
Antimicrobial Stewardship(AMS) refers to the optimal selection, dosing, and duration of antimicrobial treatment resulting in the best clinical outcome with minimal side effects to the patients and minimal impact on subsequent resistance.
According to the 2019 report, in the US, more than 2.8 million antibiotic-resistant infections occur each year, and more than 35000 people die. In addition to this, it also mentioned that 223,900 cases of Clostridoides difficile occurred in 2017, of which 12800 people died. The report did not include viruses or parasites

Defecation
Normal defecation begins with movement in the left colon, moving stool toward the anus. When stool reaches the rectum, the distention causes relaxation of the internal sphincter and an awareness of the need to defecate. At the time of defecation, the external sphincter relaxes, and abdominal muscles contract, increasing intrarectal pressure and forcing the stool out
The Valsalva maneuver exerts pressure to expel faeces through a voluntary contraction of the abdominal muscles while maintaining forced expiration against a closed airway. Patients with cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, increased intracranial pressure, or a new surgical wound are at greater risk for cardiac dysrhythmias and elevated blood pressure with the Valsalva maneuver and need to avoid straining to pass the stool.
Normal defecation is painless, resulting in passage of soft, formed stool
CONSTIPATION
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. Improper diet, reduced fluid intake, lack of exercise, and certain medications can cause constipation. For example, patients receiving opiates for pain after surgery often require a stool softener or laxative to prevent constipation. The signs of constipation include infrequent bowel movements (less than every 3 days), difficulty passing stools, excessive straining, inability to defecate at will, and hard feaces
IMPACTION
Fecal impaction results from unrelieved constipation. It is a collection of hardened feces wedged in the rectum that a person cannot expel. In cases of severe impaction the mass extends up into the sigmoid colon.
DIARRHEA
Diarrhea is an increase in the number of stools and the passage of liquid, unformed feces. It is associated with disorders affecting digestion, absorption, and secretion in the GI tract. Intestinal contents pass through the small and large intestine too quickly to allow for the usual absorption of fluid and nutrients. Irritation within the colon results in increased mucus secretion. As a result, feces become watery, and the patient is unable to control the urge to defecate. Normally an anal bag is safe and effective in long-term treatment of patients with fecal incontinence at home, in hospice, or in the hospital. Fecal incontinence is expensive and a potentially dangerous condition in terms of contamination and risk of skin ulceration
HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids are dilated, engorged veins in the lining of the rectum. They are either external or internal.
FLATULENCE
As gas accumulates in the lumen of the intestines, the bowel wall stretches and distends (flatulence). It is a common cause of abdominal fullness, pain, and cramping. Normally intestinal gas escapes through the mouth (belching) or the anus (passing of flatus)
FECAL INCONTINENCE
Fecal incontinence is the inability to control passage of feces and gas from the anus. Incontinence harms a patient’s body image

Medical Technology Tackles New Health Care Demand - Research Report - March 2...pchutichetpong
M Capital Group (“MCG”) predicts that with, against, despite, and even without the global pandemic, the medical technology (MedTech) industry shows signs of continuous healthy growth, driven by smaller, faster, and cheaper devices, growing demand for home-based applications, technological innovation, strategic acquisitions, investments, and SPAC listings. MCG predicts that this should reflects itself in annual growth of over 6%, well beyond 2028.
According to Chris Mouchabhani, Managing Partner at M Capital Group, “Despite all economic scenarios that one may consider, beyond overall economic shocks, medical technology should remain one of the most promising and robust sectors over the short to medium term and well beyond 2028.”
There is a movement towards home-based care for the elderly, next generation scanning and MRI devices, wearable technology, artificial intelligence incorporation, and online connectivity. Experts also see a focus on predictive, preventive, personalized, participatory, and precision medicine, with rising levels of integration of home care and technological innovation.
The average cost of treatment has been rising across the board, creating additional financial burdens to governments, healthcare providers and insurance companies. According to MCG, cost-per-inpatient-stay in the United States alone rose on average annually by over 13% between 2014 to 2021, leading MedTech to focus research efforts on optimized medical equipment at lower price points, whilst emphasizing portability and ease of use. Namely, 46% of the 1,008 medical technology companies in the 2021 MedTech Innovator (“MTI”) database are focusing on prevention, wellness, detection, or diagnosis, signaling a clear push for preventive care to also tackle costs.
In addition, there has also been a lasting impact on consumer and medical demand for home care, supported by the pandemic. Lockdowns, closure of care facilities, and healthcare systems subjected to capacity pressure, accelerated demand away from traditional inpatient care. Now, outpatient care solutions are driving industry production, with nearly 70% of recent diagnostics start-up companies producing products in areas such as ambulatory clinics, at-home care, and self-administered diagnostics.

All About Eyes Protection
Safety glasses offer the best protection for our eyes against
various hazards you can encounter at your job or in daily life.
PPE glasses are made according to the highest quality
requirements. Frames and filters are both certified to
guarantee the finest quality. Your prescription and protection
glasses must fit properly to provide the necessary protection
for your eyes.
There are a variety of types that may be worn over most
prescription eyeglasses to ensure your safety at work.
Your eyes are irreplaceable. There are numerous risks at
industrial workplaces that can cause either short-term or
long-term damage to the eyes. These eye protection glasses
are vital for preventing eye damage.
3. What is the purpose of safety glasses?
Wearing protective eyewear in your house, workshop, garage, yard, or
place of employment can safeguard your eyes from harm. Airborne
chemicals, dust, and debris can cause serious harm to your eyes. Thus,
it is necessary to protect yourself from potential risk.
Personal protective equipment includes safety eyewear. In several
workplaces, they are essential for tasks requiring fine particles, impact
hazards, gases, and other hazards. Several of these eye injuries may
surprise you.
For instance, a malfunctioning machine could send metal shards into
your face. An imperfection in the wood you chopped could
unexpectedly cause sawdust to enter your eyes. To meet all PPE safety
criteria, the employer must offer these and make their use mandatory.
This safety eyewear is a sort of personal protective equipment (PPE)
meant to cover or enclose the area surrounding the eye, preventing
particles, liquids, or chemicals from hurting the eye.
4. What is the best grade of safety
glasses?
There are a variety of safety glasses on the market,
but not all provide adequate eye protection;
therefore, we gathered several high-quality pairs of
safety glasses. Following is the list:
Colored Temple Prestige Safety Glasses
OAKLEY M FRAME
3M Fahrenheit Series NoCry Clear Anti-Fog Safety
Goggles
SolidWorks Safety Goggles

5. Who should wear safety glasses?
Any occupation involving airborne particles or harmful substances has
an eye damage risk. For example, handling chemicals under high
pressure or manipulating a strap under strain that may abruptly
release poses additional dangers. Eye protection suitable for the task
can substantially reduce the risk of harm.
Among the occupations with a high risk of eye injury are those
involving:
• Chemicals
• Dusty environments
• Excessively bright lights or UV lights
• Compressed air
• Equipment or tools cut, drill, grind, hammer, sand, smelt, spray, or
fuse.

7. Are safety glasses the same as safety
goggles?
When it comes to eye protection, It depends on
the situation or the job you are performing. In
some situations, the standard safety glasses will
suffice. However, there are situations in which
safety goggles may be necessary for
comprehensive protection.
8. How to choose between safety glasses
and goggles? Let’s get to know them
first:
Safety Glasses
You will likely need to use safety glasses for most eye
protection situations. The safety frames, lenses, and side
shields will give enough safety and protection from flying
items. Safety glasses are tested to withstand substantial
impacts and protect the eyes from things that could
bruise, puncture, or otherwise damage the eyes.
Without dislodging the lenses, safety frames are tested to
verify they can survive the impact of a 1/4-inch steel ball
moving at 150 feet per second.
9. Safety Goggles
Safety goggles offer 360-degree protection around the
eyes and contain a strap to secure the goggles to the
wearer’s face. Additionally, they incorporate ventilation
or breathing holes to facilitate airflow.
There are minor holes around the safety goggles’ top,
sides, and bottom; therefore, they do not protect against
all airborne particles. Safety goggles might be the best
option for athletes for the best eye protection.
The answer is whether you need safety glasses, safety
goggles, or both. It entirely depends on whether you use
corrective lenses to see effectively and whether or not
you frequently deal with airborne tiny particles or trash.
10. How effective are safety glasses?
Safety glasses do not give the same level of protection as
safety goggles. Safety glasses are constructed from the same
lightweight and shatterproof polycarbonate material as safety
goggles.
Safety glasses have side arms worn over the ears to
accommodate the face, just like ordinary glasses or
sunglasses. The frames contain side shields covering the sides’
eyes, whereas standard glasses have a huge gap.
You cannot wear corrective lenses with safety glasses without
experiencing significant slippage and pain behind the ears.
You can, however, go for prescription safety glasses that make
it simple to have clear eyesight and optical protection
simultaneously.
11. Safety Glasses Features
For most tasks, safety glasses will likely provide
the necessary protection. In addition to being
more comfortable than safety goggles, they may
be a better fit for you.
Safety Glasses:
• Offer protection from impact
• Possess a lightweight body
• Are simple to put on and remove It Is regarded
as a more comfortable option
12. What are the three main types of eye
protection?
Safety glasses are typical eye protection PPE, but
safety goggles and face shields are also
widespread. It is up to the employer and the
wearer to determine the three primary types of
PPE eyewear to use based on their needs.
13. Safety Glasses
Safety glasses are glasses with impact-resistant
lenses and frames made from metal or plastic. In
contrast, safety eyewear often belongs to one of
two categories: dust goggles or chemical splash
goggles. Due to their close-fitting designs, both
varieties provide more robust protection than
spectacles.
14. Safety Googles
The close fit of safety goggles makes them
resistant to exposure to big particles that may
otherwise enter the eye. Similarly, chemical
splash goggles give protection from spills and
impact by covering the eyes, eye sockets, and
surrounding facial area.
15. Face Shields
Face shield is heavy-duty facial protection
workwear that protects the entire face from all
