Applications in the prescribed format are called for from candidates for the posts of
Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants / Postal Assistants (SBCO) / PA (CO) in the Pay Band
of Rs. 5200 - 20,200/- with the Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.
2.The age limit of the applicants will be 18 to 25 years as on 05.10.2010 relaxable for
candidates of reserved categories as per GOI rules.
3.The minimum educational qualification is Higher Secondary or equivalent.
4.Prospectus containing eligibility conditions, recruitment procedure, prescribed application
form and instructions thereof can be obtained from the selected Post Offices as per
list (Annexure-II), on payment of Rs. 25/- by cash at the concerned post office
counter.
5.Name of the recruiting units as well as designation and address of the Recruiting authority
to whom the application are to be addressed is furnished hereunder in Annexure - I
showing inter - alia the number of vacancies in respect of each recruiting unit.
Number of vacancies is likely to increase.
6.Application duly completed along with attested copies of the certificates should be
submitted to the officer concerned on or before 05.10.2010 (up to 17.00 hrs.) by
Registered Post or Speed Post. Applications sent by other means will not be
considered. Applications received after the due date and time will be rejected straight
way and no correspondence will be entertained.
7.The cover containing the application should be superscribed in block letters as follows: -
