the people of India.
• India's languages, religions, dance,
music, architecture, food, and customs
differ from place to place within the
country.
• The Indian culture, often labeled as an
amalgamation of several cultures, spans
across the Indian subcontinent and has
been influenced by a history that is
several millennia old.
• Many elements of India's diverse cultures,
such as Indian religions, yoga and Indian
cuisine, have had a profound impact
across the world.

India has 122 major languages and 1599 other languages.
Government of India has awarded the distinction of classical language to
Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Sanskrit, Tamil and Telugu.
Hindi is the official language of the central government in India, with
English as a provisional official sub-language
The Constitution of India recognizes 23 official languages, spoken in
different parts of the country.

GOLDEN TEMPLE
The Golden Temple, also known as
Harmandir Sahib, meaning "abode of
God" or Darbār Sahib​
the Gurdwara is built around a man-made
pool (sarovar) that was completed by the
fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das in 1577​
Over 100,000 people visit the holy shrine
daily for worship.The Gurdwara complex
has been nominated as a UNESCO World

RED FORT
• The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of
Delhi in India, which served as the main
residence of the Mughal Emperors.
• Every year on the Independence day of
India (15 August),
• the Prime Minister hoists the Indian "tricolor
flag“ at the main gate of the fort and
delivers a nationally broadcast speech from
its ramparts
TAJ MAHAL AGRA
The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the
south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra.
It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah
Jahan (reigned from 1628 to 1658) to house the tomb of
his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal
The Taj Mahal was designated as a UNESCO World
Heritage Site in 1983 for being "the jewel of Muslim art in
India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of
the world's heritage.
JAISALMER
Jaisalmer Fort is situated , in the Indian state of
Rajasthan. It is believed to be one of the very
few "living forts" in the world
Jaisalmer Fort is the second oldest fort in
Rajasthan, built in 1156 AD by the Rajput Rawal
(ruler) Jaisal
