3. • The Laboratoty is focused on providing the metrological support
for soil analyses. The main goal is to provide the uniformity of
measurements in the laboratories of the agricultural sector

in this area, including 3 experts in metrology of reference soil
samples

7. Use of RSS in ring tests (inter-laboratory comparison tests)
 All-Russian Research Institute of Agrochemistry as an independent organization conducts RT
annually in 140 testing labs of various departmental subordination
 In 2019, the All-Russian Research Institute of Agricultural Chemistry developed 7
proficiency testing programs for testing different types of soils.
Purpose of participation in the RT:
 quality management of test results according to national standards;
 confirmation of technical competence during the accreditation procedure (Order
of the Ministry of Economic Development of 05.30.2014 No. 326)
 For a testing lab to be included in the Unified Register of the Customs Union in
case of positive results of RT (Regulation of the Customs Union No. 319 of
06/18/2010, clause 4.2.5)

8. Each year, 140 soil testing laboratories of the agro-industrial complex
run ring tests under 7 developed programs within the framework of the
Organization-Provider

Allows to evaluate the reliability of the results obtained by testing labs. It is a real mechanism for
improvement the quality of analytical results.

10. Soil analysis in your country
How many routine laboratories exist in your country?
More than 1000, including 140 of agrochemical survey,
and other industrial and research labs
Are they ‘mobile’ laboratories?
Just few of them used for soil sampling and express
analyses
Are soil test kits commonly used? We have companies
that produce soil test kits, but accredited laboratories
don’t use them.

• consolidated approaches to harmonisation of
soil analyses;
• harmonization of regulations in soil data results;
• development of international RSS of interstate
rank

13. Proposals
• We can provide a set of RSS to be accredited in
international laboratories after the RT

• In Russia there are 9 climate belts and 76 soil
taxa in national classification
• Long time experience in development of RSS and
conducting of RT
• can provide RSS for:
- acid and neutral soils of temperate climate ;
-chernozem soils (with/without carbonates);
- saline soils
