2. Two people controlling the country: Both a president and
prime minister govern Russia. Vladimir Putin has held the
presidential seat for the last several years, as has Prime Minister
Dmitriy Medvedev.
Russia’s large government system: There’s more to the
governmental system, however — nearly 30 years ago, Russia
began following the Constitutional law.
The citizens don’t feel free: Putin says he and his citizens
wouldn’t wish to follow the same political system as the USA.
Showing off influence through weapon production: Russia
uses military technology taken from the USSR. Not only does
Russia produce weapons, but it also ships weapons to over 70
countries

company in Russia.
 Russian food and drink: One of the most well-known
traditional Russian foods that may seem strange to an outsider
is borshch, also spelled borscht.

that derive from several Slavic myths and traditions,
according to de Rossi.

 Energy: Russia is one of the world's leading producers and
exporters of energy resources, particularly oil and natural gas.
 Mining and Metals: Russia is rich in natural resources,
including various metals and minerals such as iron ore, nickel,
copper, aluminum, and gold.
 Manufacturing: Russia has a diverse manufacturing base,
including sectors like automotive, aerospace, machinery, and
chemicals.
 Agriculture: Agriculture remains an important sector in Russia,
despite its declining share of GDP over the years.
 Services: The services sector in Russia includes various
industries such as finance, retail, transportation,
telecommunications, and tourism.

10. The Federal Assembly, the Parliament of the
Russian Federation, is the supreme legislative
body of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Assembly consists of two
chambers, the Federation Council and the State
Duma.
The State Duma is elected for the term of five
years (incl. 450 deputies). The Federation
Council consists of two representatives from
each Subject of the Federation.
