Shaking Leads to a Shake Up - Russel Garlick - AgileNZ 2017
The GeoNet organization underwent changes to become more agile after experiencing issues from a major earthquake event. They hired a new employee experienced in agile who helped train other employees in agile principles and practices. This included establishing cross-functional teams, visualizing work in progress publicly, and defining clear goals for each sprint. The changes helped improve productivity and reduce long meeting times.
