Biometric Based Automatic Cash dispenser Machine
for Indian Villages
Draft Version
Background:
 There are a lot of difficulties in dispensing cash to the beneficiaries of various
government remittances like Pensions, MNREGA and other remittances, to the people
in the deep villages of India.
 There no readymade solution available in the international market as it is a
progressively evolved local difficulty.
 These difficulties could be easily and efficiently addressed by developing the required
technologies locally.
 The ability to address this difficulty shall turn into a huge business opportunity over a
period of time and the investments in to innovations always yield fabulous returns.
 We, solicit to form interest groups to initiate the development of necessary
technologies / products to address this need.
 We have more than 10 years of experience and have successfully designed many
Fintech products including Hand Held POS Machines, Thermal printers, Finger print
readers, Iris readers, Biometric Tablet PCs, Finger print algorithms, Banking application
softwares, Banking Security software and Cryptographic applications etc.
 The products designed and manufactured by us are in use by many renowned
financial institutions including SBI, IOB , BOI, APCOB, SKS , FIA, Oxygen etc in very
large scales across India, for many years.
Design Specifications:

1. This Village ATM may be designed to be very portable and may be around the size of a
Suitcase. ( 450 mm * 300 mm * 200 mm approx. )
2. It may be capable of holding a few lacs of cash ( may be 2 – 4 lacs )
3. Front cash loading may be planned. ( ie the same slot where the cash is dispensed
may be used to load the cash. There may be no need to open the atm for any
operations except for maintenance.)
4. Authentication may be Aadhaar card +finger print / Iris or just finger print /Iris alone (
upto 10,000 users).
5. Connectivity shall be wireless. 3G / 4G or Wifi.

6. Encryption shall be on par with net banking / mobile banking data transfers.
7. Power may be around 15 -20 watts when idle and around 30 - 45 watts when
operational. Built-in battery to withstand around 3 – 5 hours.
8. GPS with its own separate battery to report the location of the ATM every minute as the
ATM is extremely portable.
9. Internal smart camera witn image processing softwares to auto verify the currency's
security features and also auto detect the Serial no every single note at the time of
loading and dispensing. ( UV LED lit)
10.External camera to record the happenings outside. Other security features like
shake/shock sensors/ hooters, protective ink bulbs....
11.The target cost of the device should be around INR 35,000 – 50,000. ( 500 – 700 USD)
for a volume of 1000 – 5000 devices
12.Total market penetration shall be planned at around 4 lac 6 lacs Devices ( Installable in
Kirana Shops similar to the old coin operated, yellow telephones devices )
Operational Specifications:

 This automatic cash dispenser may be installable in the village Kirana Shops similar to
the old coin operated, yellow telephones devices.
 Each device may serve a village with a general population of around 2000 – 4000
villagers and active customer base of around 1000 – 2000.
 With around 1 - 2 transactions per week per customer and around Rs 200 – 300 may
be the average size of a transaction.
 Since it also accepts cash, it may require to be loaded with cash once every week to
serve the above transactional load.
 The above operational assumptions may be customized to make two or three different
device models to meet the different requirements of smaller, medium and bigger
villages
The following pointers may be taken up for Technical Discussions for necessary
modifications / developments :
 A detailed study may be instituted to analyze and select the approach in all the
required fields of technologies, like Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, Embedded
systems, imaging and image processing softwares, Communication Electronics ,
Security softwares , FPGA, Metallurgy, Plastics, Optical physics, Thermal printing
technologies, Biometric technologies, Cooling technologies etc.
 The selection of technologies should has emphasis on
 Innovation
 simplifications,
 Low cost to make

( ie rugged in harsh field conditions )
 At the end of this exercise, a theatrical drawing model may be made, meeting the all
the above specifications.
 Then this theoretical drawing board model may be pushed in to the next phase of
Rapid Prototyping of a few sample devices.
 Then the prototype devices shall be deploying in the field in trail basis.
 The device shall be improvised from the all the leanings of the trials and the hardened
the final version shall go in for mass production.

Design Draft by Precision Biometric India Pvt Limited, Prepared on 28th April 2009, Modified on 23rd July 2016 Biometric Based Automatic Cash dispenser Machine for Indian Villages Draft Version Background:  There are a lot of difficulties in dispensing cash to the beneficiaries of various government remittances like Pensions, MNREGA and other remittances, to the people in the deep villages of India.  There no readymade solution available in the international market as it is a progressively evolved local difficulty.  These difficulties could be easily and efficiently addressed by developing the required technologies locally.  The ability to address this difficulty shall turn into a huge business opportunity over a period of time and the investments in to innovations always yield fabulous returns.  We, solicit to form interest groups to initiate the development of necessary technologies / products to address this need.  We have more than 10 years of experience and have successfully designed many Fintech products including Hand Held POS Machines, Thermal printers, Finger print readers, Iris readers, Biometric Tablet PCs, Finger print algorithms, Banking application softwares, Banking Security software and Cryptographic applications etc.  The products designed and manufactured by us are in use by many renowned financial institutions including SBI, IOB , BOI, APCOB, SKS , FIA, Oxygen etc in very large scales across India, for many years. Design Specifications: (draft) 1. This Village ATM may be designed to be very portable and may be around the size of a Suitcase. ( 450 mm * 300 mm * 200 mm approx. ) 2. It may be capable of holding a few lacs of cash ( may be 2 – 4 lacs ) 3. Front cash loading may be planned. ( ie the same slot where the cash is dispensed may be used to load the cash. There may be no need to open the atm for any operations except for maintenance.) 4. Authentication may be Aadhaar card +finger print / Iris or just finger print /Iris alone ( upto 10,000 users). 5. Connectivity shall be wireless. 3G / 4G or Wifi.

Encryption shall be on par with net banking / mobile banking data transfers. 7. Power may be around 15 -20 watts when idle and around 30 - 45 watts when operational. Built-in battery to withstand around 3 – 5 hours. 8. GPS with its own separate battery to report the location of the ATM every minute as the ATM is extremely portable. 9. Internal smart camera witn image processing softwares to auto verify the currency's security features and also auto detect the Serial no every single note at the time of loading and dispensing. ( UV LED lit) 10.External camera to record the happenings outside. Other security features like shake/shock sensors/ hooters, protective ink bulbs.... 11.The target cost of the device should be around INR 35,000 – 50,000. ( 500 – 700 USD) for a volume of 1000 – 5000 devices 12.Total market penetration shall be planned at around 4 lac 6 lacs Devices ( Installable in Kirana Shops similar to the old coin operated, yellow telephones devices ) Operational Specifications: (draft)  This automatic cash dispenser may be installable in the village Kirana Shops similar to the old coin operated, yellow telephones devices.  Each device may serve a village with a general population of around 2000 – 4000 villagers and active customer base of around 1000 – 2000.  With around 1 - 2 transactions per week per customer and around Rs 200 – 300 may be the average size of a transaction.  Since it also accepts cash, it may require to be loaded with cash once every week to serve the above transactional load.  The above operational assumptions may be customized to make two or three different device models to meet the different requirements of smaller, medium and bigger villages The following pointers may be taken up for Technical Discussions for necessary modifications / developments :  A detailed study may be instituted to analyze and select the approach in all the required fields of technologies, like Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, Embedded systems, imaging and image processing softwares, Communication Electronics , Security softwares , FPGA, Metallurgy, Plastics, Optical physics, Thermal printing technologies, Biometric technologies, Cooling technologies etc.  The selection of technologies should has emphasis on  Innovation  simplifications,  Low cost to make
