Developing a Health Care Perspective
Access to healthcare services is very essential for sustainable level of living and good health. Several scholars have described access as “the timely use of personal health services to achieve the best possible health outcomes”. One of the issues facing many countries across the world including those with systems for universal healthcare is providing appropriate and timely healthcare access for deprived patients. Currently there is limited information on how those patients living in a context of social and material deprivation perceive obstructions in the system of healthcare. In this paper we shall discuss several resources addressing the issue of access to services in the healthcare system.
According to Andersen, Davidson, & Baumeister (2014), in their article titled “improving the access to care”, access refers to the actual utility of individual services for heath as well as everything else that can facilitate or impede their use. In this article they present research and policy issues as well as basic trends which are related to evaluating and monitoring the access to healthcare services. They show how evaluating and monitoring offers the platform for the prediction of health services, promotion of social justice and the improvement of efficiency and effectiveness for the delivery of health services. They analyzed access and healthcare outcomes using a behavioral model which provides a systematic framework of individual and contextual framework
They expanded the behavioral model by emphasizing on two new aspects. They include the life quality as an input and healthcare outcome and genetics as a factor for predisposing. They also examined some examples of access indicators which include efficiency and effectiveness measures, utilization, potential access and healthcare needs. Changes that occurred in these indicators over time were tracked using trend data. Finally they did observations on access and the present status as well as new areas of improving access via ACA which has played a big role in improving access to health care.
Next we are going to analyze the article written by Acharya et al., (2017) titled “Partnerships in mental healthcare service delivery in low-resource settings: developing an innovative network in rural Nepal”. This article provides an understanding on the contribution of mental illness on the worldwide burden diseases which are non communicable. However, the authors note that there has been an extremely limited access to ethnically sensitive, appropriately contextual and high quality service for mental healthcare. Despite the availability for interventions to improve outcomes for the patients, this situation still persists. The authors suggest that there is need for the development of partnerships network for adaptation.

According to our reading, the cost of health care increases about 6% annually, and the new concentration of the health care industry is controlling overall cost. In the past, health care spending was not controlled, so providers could submit a claim for reimbursement and be automatically reimbursed with no penalty or incentive to control spending. I am sure that many claims were summited that were grossly over estimated, leading to higher health care costs for insurance companies and the consumers. I thought that the portion CDHPs was interesting. CDHPs allow consumers to control health care costs by giving them the opportunity to save money for health care, by letting consumers bank tax free money from paychecks to use towards medical expenses. I wish the data was more up to date, because I seem to remember reading somewhere in the Los Angeles Times that health care costs were due to increase well above the average annual increase in 2015. As a healthcare administrator, I will have to consider the potential physical and mental risks first of medical tourism for consumers. I have looked for enough evidence-based research to help me to decide that this would be a choice that I would recommend. However, I did not find what I was looking for to say that I would without reservation and good judgment recommend a client to fly to India or Costa Rica for major surgery. I understand that the cost is so much less for various surgeries and companies and clients can save tons of money (ABC News (Producer), 2013).
I understand that this country’s expensive healthcare prices are driving patients and companies to participate in traveling outside of the country for medical procedures. “Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) put the price of a knee replacement in the U.S. at $48,000. Travel to India and the same operation will cost $8500, more than 80% cheaper. A heart bypass that costs $113,000 in the U.S. can be bought for just $3250 in Mexico, while operations in Malaysia are typically 65-80% cheaper” (Lunt, Smith, Exworthy, Green, Horsfall, & Mannion, 2011). So, I see that the cost of healthcare is causing many Americans to file bankruptcy and America pays too much for a healthcare system that is not working. Also, companies who are not at the Fortune 500 status would like to find a way to save money on employee benefits.
Therefore, I would say my thoughts on getting on board with this would be when another country has a life-saving procedure that cannot be performed in this country for various reasonings like a personal moral view of a political party in charge ...

Unintended Consequences of Health Care Reform
The PPACA of 2010 fostered new provisions for health care and the structure of health care delivery. The individual mandate to obtain insurance is one provocative provision. While this provision attempts to increase access to health care, it raises questions on how the existing system could sustain the potentially large influx of newly insured individuals.
Another provision calls for new models of health care provider organizations to ensure delivery efficiency and continuity of care. In this week’s media presentation, Dr. Kathleen White discusses the accountable care organization, which comprises a group of providers coordinating care across a variety of institutional settings. Yet becoming an accountable care organization may present a number of challenges.
This week’s Discussion builds on Week 1, continuing the examination of those societal and organizational contexts that influence health care reform. The unintended consequences of reform policy on the health care system are also considered.

This paper presents a marketing plan for Continuum health partners. Continuum health partners is an organization based in the metropolitan area of New York US. The main aim of the organization is to coordinate the operations of its members to keep the organization financially solvent by controlling costs in the highly competitive industry (Pronk et al., 2015). The plan outlines various goals and objectives which will help the organization succeed. Goals are used as a road map for the organization to achieve its vision. The plan also presents an environmental analysis of political and social issues affecting the organization. Politics and policy issues affect the healthcare industry in a big way. For instance, the Affordable Healthcare Act has been used in the US for a while. However, the new incumbent government has promised that they will replace this Act. Social and cultural factors significantly affect the quality of healthcare for a community. Most people in the US are educated and this helps them to understand the importance of staying healthy. The paper also presents a consumer analysis of the healthcare sector.
Various strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats facing the organization are also discussed in details. 3.1 INTRODUCTION When the health community makes
3.1 INTRODUCTION
When the health community makes reference to patients having access to care, the reference is
generally limited. The concept of access is too often described as individuals getting to and from
health services and having the ability to pay for the services either by virtue of a third party or
out-of-pocket. We believe access to be much more than this and suggest that a redefinition of
access is long overdue. True access means being able to get to and from health services, having the
ability to pay for the services needed, and getting your needs met once you enter the health system.
This text introduces a framework for assessing the strengths and weaknesses of selective healthcare
systems, and determining if the system is providing true access to health care. The framework is
called “The Eight Factor Model.”
The comparison of health systems is made by utilizing The Eight Factor Model, which was
developed by the authors, and has “true access” as the driving value. As illustrated in Figure 3-1 ,
the model has true access at its core, and eight surrounding factors that are important for health
systems to demonstrate in order to provide that true access. A solid directional arrow from the
factor to the core depicts a system that has demonstrated evidence to support that it is providing
true access. A broken directional arrow from the core to the factor suggests the system is not
providing true access, and much work must be done to achieve it. Table 3-1 (a format for assessing
true access) provides a template for learners to formulate their own opinions about the extent to
which countries discussed in this text provide true access. Table 7 in Chapter 16 , The Eight Factor
Model for True Access, summarizes author observations regarding the extent to which each of the
11 countries discussed in the “Health Care in Industrialized (Developed) Countries and “Health
Care in Developing Countries” sections of this text have addressed true access. This will hopefully
enable the learner to briefly review it against the Eight Factor Model illustrated in Figure 3-1 . Table

This paper presents a marketing plan for Continuum health partners. Continuum health partners is an organization based in the metropolitan area of New York US. 3.1 INTRODUCTION
When the health community makes reference to patients having access to care, the reference is
generally limited. The concept of access is too often described as individuals getting to and from
health services and having the ability to pay for the services either by virtue of a third party or
out-of-pocket. We believe access to be much more than this and suggest that a redefinition of
access is long overdue. True access means being able to get to and from health services, having the
ability to pay for the services needed, and getting your needs met once you enter the health system.
This text introduces a framework for assessing the strengths and weaknesses of selective healthcare
systems, and determining if the system is providing true access to health care. The framework is
called “The Eight Factor Model.”
The comparison of health systems is made by utilizing The Eight Factor Model, which was
developed by the authors, and has “true access” as the driving value. As illustrated in Figure 3-1 ,
the model has true access at its core, and eight surrounding factors that are important for health
systems to demonstrate in order to provide that true access. A solid directional arrow from the
factor to the core depicts a system that has demonstrated evidence to support that it is providing
true access. A broken directional arrow from the core to the factor suggests the system is not
providing true access, and much work must be done to achieve it. Table 3-1 (a format for assessing
true access) provides a template for learners to formulate their own opinions about the extent to
which countries discussed in this text provide true access. Table 7 in Chapter 16 , The Eight Factor
Model for True Access, summarizes author observations regarding the extent to which each of the
11 countries discussed in the “Health Care in Industrialized (Developed) Countries and “Health
Care in Developing Countries” sections of this text have addressed true access. This will hopefully
enable the learner to briefly review it against the Eight Factor Model illustrated in Figure 3-1 . Table

In general, reliabilities less than 0.60 are considered to be poor, those in the 0.70 range, acceptable, and those over 0.80 good. Thus, the internal consistency reliability of the measures used in this study can be considered to be acceptable for the job enrichment measure and good for the other measures.
It is important to note that all the negatively worded items in the questionnaire should first be reversed before the items are submitted for reliability tests. Unless all the items measuring a variable are in the same direction, the reliabilities obtained will be incorrect.
A sample of the result obtained for the Cronbach’s alpha test for job enrichment, together with instructions on how it is obtained, is shown in Output 11.3.
The reliability of the job enrichment measure is presented in the first table in Output 11.3. The second table provides an overview of the alphas if we take one of the items out of the measure. For instance, it is shown that if the first item (Jobchar1) is taken out, Cronbach’s alpha of the new three-item measure will be 0.577. This means that the alpha will go down if we take item 1 out of our measure. On the other hand, if we take out item 3, our alpha will go up and become 0.851. Note that, in this case, we would not take out item 3 for two reasons. First, our alpha is above 0.7 so we do not have to take any remedial actions. Second, if we took item 3 out, the validity of our measure would probably decrease. We did not include item 3 for nothing in the original measure!
If, however, our Cronbach’s alpha was too low (under 0.60) then we could use this table to find out which of the items would have to be removed from our measure to increase the interitem consistency. Note that, usually, taking out an item, although improving the reliability of our measure, affects the validity of our measure .

‘Expository’ is a synonym of ‘explanatory’. An expository essay is a piece of writing that explains or informs. It should be based on fact and free of the writer’s prejudices. Opinion is often expressed, but only if it is backed by fact. Structurally, a piece of expository writing has the following components:

that introduces the central idea you will discuss in the essay.

that presents evidence to back up the idea. This is the meat of the essay.

conclusion
that presents your idea again in the light of the evidence.
Thus, the central thrust of expository writing should be to build towards proving an argument, fact by fact, piece of evidence by piece of evidence. You will use expository writing a lot throughout your academic life. Most essays that you write in college will be expository in nature. Most writing that you will do in your professional life will involve a lot of expository content as well. In other words, sharpening up this skill will serve you well throughout your life.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
