只要是內燃機,不論是汽、柴油引擎都會產生積碳,積碳的「碳」是燃油不完全燃燒產生的機油、灰塵、雜質、膠質…
…等混和物堆積。成分包括了石油烴類、石蠟以及一些膠狀物,如果我們用一句話簡單來說—引擎內燃燒或沒完全燃燒
完剩下的雜質,我們統稱為積碳,都是我們除碳的目標。
Every internal combustion engine, both gasoline and diesel engines will produce carbon deposits. The “carbon”
is not real carbon, but including oil, dust, impurities, colloids, etc. The mixture is stacked. The ingredients include
petroleum hydrocarbons, paraffin wax and some gelatinous substances. If we put them simply that the remaining
impurities produced by the engine, we’ll call its carbon deposits, which are our carbon removal targets.

汽油對於碳氧廢氣(CO、CO2)的汙染較為嚴重,而柴油含有較多雜質,對於微粒(PM)的排放較為嚴重。柴油的本質
相對於汽油本來就是精制程度較低的產物,內含硫及其他雜質成分較多,而柴油通常為10到22個碳原子所組成,相較於
汽油有更多的碳,能產生更多能量的同時,也會造成積碳比汽油更加嚴重的情形。
Gasoline is more polluting to carbon-oxygen(CO, CO2), while diesel contains more impurities and emissions to
particulates (PM) are more serious. The diesel is a less refined product than gasoline. It contains more sulfur
and other impurities. Diesel is usually composed of 10 to 22 carbon atoms and It’s more than gasoline. Diesel
